You woke up the next morning in such a good mood. You got your shower and scrunched your hair so it
went all wavy then put on the cutest clothes you brought. A plan was forming in your head. Gilbert had
told you yesterday that he sleeps in until about one or two o'clock in the day. You decided to go to Joe
and Stella's cabin and give him a rude awakening by drawing a French moustache on his face with your
black nail polish pen. Looking your best, you headed over to Joe and Stella's cabin and saw that they
were looking out over the pond from the dock. Seeing it as the perfect opportunity, your mischievous
side kicked in and you snuck over and scared them. Joe remained emotionless while Stella had nearly
jumped out of her skin.

"Hey, Stella, is Gil still asleep?" You asked once she had calmed down.

"Nope, he left around ten to go to the paddle boat races at the Cheema's. Why?"

"Oh, I was going to wake him up by drawing a moustache on him with this." You said, pulling the
nail polish pen out of your pocket.

"Well, aren't you an evil little thing!" Stella laughed. You said goodbye and headed over in the
direction of the Cheema's cabin. Actually, it was so big it was more like a house than a cabin. You never
really did get along with the Cheemas. Once you got there, you discovered that the races were already
over and that Gilbert had already left. You texted him, asking where he was and he told you to meet him
at the park. He was probably watching his Dad at the tournament. You headed over and sure enough,
you spotted his silvery head in no time. He laid his eyes on you and he walked over with a cooler in his
hand.

"Hey, Dad wants me to get some more beer from Joe and Stella's. Want to come with me?" He
asked, walking past you.

"Sure," you replied, following him.

"You look awesome today, by the way." He said, looking at you from the corner of his eye.

"Thanks, you look pretty awesome too…" You said quietly, looking down to your flip-flops.

"Hey, now, don't be so shy, that's totally not cool." Gilbert said, bumping his hip into yours,
making you giggle. In no time the two of you had reached Joe and Stella's cabin.

"The beer is in the shed, stay out here and I'll get it." Gilbert told you, heading into the shed.
Thinking that you hadn't gotten Gilbert this morning, you decided to get him now. You ran over to the
shed, quickly shut the door and locked it. You giggled as you heard pounding on the door, but to your
surprise, he didn't yell.

"What're you doing?" You heard Stella say behind you.

"I locked Gil in the shed, seeing as I didn't get him this morning." A big smirk spread across your
face in satisfaction. You walked up to the shed and lightly tapped on the door. "Hey, Gil! How many
Baygirls does it take to lock a Townie in a shed?"

"How many?" You heard a muffle sigh.

"None, because he's too stupid to go in by himself!" You burst out laughing and so did Stella.
Suddenly, your phone buzzed. You checked it to see a text from Gilbert. 'Let me out.' The text read. You
laughed to yourself and send him back a curt 'No'. You laughed even more as you showed the rest of his
family your handiwork and the pounding got louder. Eventually, you let him out. You laughed even more
at the scowl on his face, something you assumed was pretty rare.

"Yeah, you're hilarious…" He said sarcastically, brushing past you and taking the beer back to the
park. You quickly caught up with him and walked at his quick pace, you could tell he was trying to ignore
you. You came up behind him and wrapped your arms around his waist, making him stop.

"Don't be mad at me, Gil." You said in your cutest voice possible.

"Forget it. You're evil." He tried to sound mean, but, you could hear the smile in his voice.

"Pleeeeaaaaase?" You whined a bit, hugging him tighter.

"Okay, fine, you win!" He laughed and ruffled your hair. You giggled and smoothed out the top
of your head. By this time, the two of you had reached the park. Gilbert gave his Dad the cooler and
turned to you.

"Well…what do you want to do now…?" He asked, shoving his hands into the pockets of his tight
jeans.

"Hmm…how about we go back to my cabin for a bit?" You suggested. He nodded in agreement
and the two of you walked to your cabin which was literally across the road from the park.

"Want a peach candy?" You asked, opening the container that held your favourite candy in the
world: sour peach rings.

"Peach me." He said simply. You took out a candy and threw it at him. He opened his mouth
wide and the candy landed right in it. The German gave you a dorky smile as he started to chew the
candy. You gave him a mini applause before taking a candy of your own and putting it in your mouth.
You always licked the sour sugar off before you actually ate the candy, it had grown into a huge habit of
yours.

"Let's see what's on T.V." Gilbert said, jumping over the back of your couch and grabbing the
remote. He flicked on the T.V. and browsed through the channels. While he was surfing, your little black
and white Shih Tzu, Duchess, came over and sniffed his toes.

"Aww…what a cute dog!" He said, reaching down to scratch behind her soft ears.

"Her name's Duchess. Isn't she a little cutie?" You giggled, taking the dog onto your lap so he
could see her better.

"Wow, I'm impressed. She's almost as cute as you!" He smoothed down her little black head.
He started laughing when he noticed you were blushing. "Well, it's the truth!" He shrugged.

"Ugh, there's nothing good on…" You said, stealing the remote and looking through the guide.

"Great. Now what're we going to do?" Gilbert sighed, taking his Blackberry out of his pocket and
typing something on it. You got an idea and quickly took the phone from his hands and opened up his
Facebook. You flipped over on your stomach so that he couldn't reach the phone, but you could still
type.

"Hey, give it back!" He yelled, lying on top of you. You made a squished noise, but continued
typing.

"When I'm done." You said, sort of restricted because of his weight on you. You finished typing
the status and posted it.

"Verdammt, give me the phone!" You assumed he swore in German.
"As soon as you get off of me!" You yelled back. He backed off you and you handed him the
phone.

"I'm a dumbass for letting a chick steal my phone. P.S. _______ is the most amazing person
ever." He read out the status you had written. "Clever."

"To be expected from the amazing me!" You said overdramatically, mocking Gilbert's signature
phrase.

"Okay, that's pushing things too far." He smirked and then pinned you to the couch with your
arms above your head. He only needed one hand to trap your wrists while he used the other one to
tickle your sides. Lucky for him, you were extremely ticklish.

"Gil…Gilbert! St-stop!" You screamed through your laughs. That only beckoned him to tickle you
even more. You were totally helpless as your stomach started to pain and tears were falling from your
eyes. He finally saw this as his cue to stop. He got off you with a triumphant smile in his face while you
just laid there and got your bearings as well as your breath.

"I always win, remember that." He said as you sat up and gave him a glare.

"We'll see about that later…" You threatened.

"Yes, we will…" He said and with that, he hoisted you up over his shoulder much like he did to
throw you in the water yesterday and started spinning you around.

"Gilbert! Put. Me. DOWN." You pounded on his back.

"Nein!" He shouted again in German. You could easily tell that it meant no. After about a
minute, he put you down and you started stumbling all over the place, dizzy.

"Now that's funny. You almost look drunk." He raised an eyebrow as you almost fell flat on your
face. You marvelled at how he could possibly not be dizzy. Once you had gotten your bearings, you
suddenly pounced on him, bringing him to the ground. As revenge, you sat on top of him and starting
poking at his sides. Your prayers were answered as he started laughing and squirming underneath you.
You thought you had him when suddenly, he sat up, throwing you off him.

"Don't mess with me woman!" He laughed. Then started the wild goose chase around your
cabin with Gilbert trying to catch and tickle you. This lasted for a good five minutes before the two of
you gave up and sat back down on the couch.

"Dammit…you're hard to catch…" Gilbert panted, putting his feet up and throwing an arm over
his forehead. You rested your back against his shins and shrugged. The next thing you knew, your back
support was gone and your head hit something else that wasn't the couch. You heard Gilbert snickering
and you turned red as you realized where your head was. You immediately sat upright, your face almost
blood red while Gilbert started roaring with laughter.

"Gilbert, that's disgusting!" You put your face in your hands.

"Yeah, but it's damn hilarious!" He continued laughing. You got up and went over to get another
candy. You heard Gilbert get up as well, but he went in the other direction and poked his head outside.

"Hey, what's that?" He asked, pointing to the sky.

"What's what…?" You replied, stepping past him outside. You heard the door close and lock
behind you. Crap! You ran over to the front door but Gilbert had already beaten you there and locked
that as well. He had locked you out of your own cabin.

"Gilbert! Let me in!" You pounded on the door. But it was no use. You decided to bring out the
big guns: you put on the cutest face you could muster.

"Hey, _______! How many Townies does it take to lock a Baygirl out of her cabin? None,
because she's too stupid to go outside!" Gilbert used your joke, leaning against the doorframe.

"Gilbert…" you said innocently, "can you let me in, please?"

"Sorry, as adorable as you are, I know you're pure evil. No way am I letting you in."
You scratched at the screen, making yourself look even more puppy-like.

"Damn…you…you're really good at that…" His smirk started to falter.
You continued scratching, smiling inwardly. Hook, line and sinker.

"Fine! Fine! You win!" He sighed as he unlocked the door and pulled it open for you.

"Thank you, sweetheart!" You said, innocently, wrapping your arms around his waist in a tight
hug.

"Yeah, whatever." You heard him scowl. You untangled your arms from around him when you
felt your phone vibrate. You slid it up and read the text.

"Mom just texted me. Dad's playing in the championship now, want to come watch with me?"
You asked.

"Sure." Gilbert replied. He held out his arm for you and you took it, giggling. He led you out of
the cabin and over to the park. He sat down next to you in the grass and you leaned slightly into him.
Little to your knowing, your Mom saw this and smiled to herself. You watched your Dad play an intense
three games, escaping with the Champion title by just three points. Not only had he won said title for
the fourth consecutive year, he would also be facing against the champions from Welsh's Pond the next
day. By then, it was time to leave, and you had told Gilbert that you'd be there for the fireworks at the
lake. The two of you parted ways and you went to your cabin to prepare for the tons of people who
would come over for a celebratory drink.

XxXxXxXxX

You pulled on your big cozy black sweater and practically skipped over to Joe and Stella's, very excited to
see Gilbert. Even though you were away from him for only a few hours, it felt like years to you and your
heart almost felt like it was empty. You saw him standing on the dock looking up at the sky.

"Gilbert!"
You yelled and almost tackled him into the water, but, he managed to catch himself.
Once he was sure he had his balance, he picked you up by the waist and spun you around. The adults
around the campfire laughed at this little display of affection.

"You ready for the fireworks, _______?"
Gilbert asked excitedly, his crimson eyes practically glowing.

"You know I am! I love fireworks!" It was all you could do to keep from getting lost in those deep
red pools. The two of you then laid down on the dock, waiting for the show to start. After a couple of
minutes, a few testers went off and then soon afterwards, the real show started. The sky was lit up with
bright colors and loud booms as you looked up at them in wonder. The show was definitely better than
you had expected. Occasionally, you looked out of the corner of your eye and noticed that instead of the
light show, Gilbert was looking at you the whole time. You blushed, hoping that the red fireworks would
cover it up. The fireworks ended after about half an hour and the two of you whooped and clapped
along with everyone else around the lake. Well, you had thought the show was over, anyways. After a
minute or so, you saw two bright red flares burst into the sky from across the lake. You watched as one
of them literally flew right over your head. You could hear Gilbert gasp from beside you. You giggled and
screamed as the flare started descending closer and closer, you looked over to the adults and noticed
that your Mom had taken out her phone to take a video of the whole thing. You watched as the flare
descended right onto Joe and Stella's yard, still alight. Once the flare had burned itself out, you ran over
to investigate. Both you and Gilbert used your phones to give yourselves better light. You could easily
see that the grass was scorched and Gilbert tried to touch the remnants but quickly pulled away because
it was so hot. The two of you looked at each other and then burst out laughing, falling to the ground
simultaneously, and clutching your stomachs. Your Mom walked over and just shook her head at the
scene. After a while, both of you had controlled yourselves enough to get up and make your way over to
the swing where you were last night. Trying to play it cute, you snuggled up to Gilbert while he 'punched
a ghost' again and put his arm around you.

"I have to admit, that was pretty hilarious." You giggled.

"Yeah, it was." He chuckled lightly.

"Hey, Gil…can you teach me some German?" You asked, listening to his lovely heartbeat.

"Sure. I'm assuming you know the whole guten morgen, guten tag and guten nacht?"

"Yeah.. You replied.

"Okay, well goodbye is auf Wiedersehen. Please is Bitte and thank you is Danke."He continued on.

"What about mother and father?" You cut in.

"I was just about to mention those, actually. Mother is Mutti and Father is Vati." You could hear
the pleased smile in his voice. You pulled out a bit to get a good look at him. Your heart almost melted
into a puddle at your feet. He looked absolutely amazing in the moonlight. His snowy hair reflected the
moonbeams to give it a mysterious glow, his smooth face was illuminated in all the right places and his
eyes. Oh, his eyes! They trapped you like a butterfly in a jar with their beauty.

"Ich liebe dich…" He said in his native tongue, looking back into your eyes.

"What does that mean?" You pretty much already knew what it meant, but you asked anyways.

"I love you." He said as lovingly as ever. Before your mind could register anything else, a pair of
soft gentle lips met yours. You felt his hands snake around your waist and yours flew up around his neck.
He deepened the kiss and pulled you closer while your fingers played with his soft hair. Finally, the two
of you pulled away for air and Gilbert pressed his forehead against yours.

"Um…Ich liebe dich…too?" You said quietly, trying to make use of the German phrase.

"Not quite, liebling." He chuckled, tapping your nose.

"Liebling…?"

"It means darling." He smiled, bringing his head away and planting a kiss on your forehead. His
lips rested there for a moment so he could inhale the scent of your hair. He took his lips away for a
moment, only to be greeted by yours again. You loved how he tasted and the way he held you just felt
so right. Your heart fluttered with happiness and fireworks burst in your soul. You parted once more,
tiredness taking its toll on you. You laid down so that your head rested in your beloved German's lap and
you stared into his eyes, smiling. The last thing you remember was hearing him humming you a lullaby
and running his fingers through your hair.
Ugh...I'm soooo sorry this took so long! School started up for me yesterday and well, the Internet is very distracting to say the least!

YAY ROMANCE!

I tell my boyfrienc "Ich liebe dich" all the time and I also call him "liebling". Even though I don't speak German. I just think it's too adorable. (I am his "bella mia" )

Again I say: All the events that happened in this story actually happened! Except for the romance!

Thank you guys for all your wonderful comments on the first part! I love you all, I really do!
